Programs Offered - Legal Studies

You have taken the first step toward advancing your career in the ever-growing legal field. Your goals can certainly be accomplished with the desire and commitment to take the necessary steps.

One of our primary goals has been to specialize in preparing adults for successful careers in the legal field at an affordable cost in the shortest amount of time.

Kensington’s Paralegal Program is 720 hours and takes just nine months to complete. Kensington also offers a Paralegal Assistant and Legal Administrative Assistant. Students focus on taking two courses each month, attending class just three days a week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. It is also possible to attend part-time, although the program takes longer to complete, this is a great option for working adults. Part-time students are usually working adults that attend one class in the evening held three days a week beginning at 5:50 p.m.

The Paralegal Program is our most popular program, this is a comprehensive program combining extensive procedural training with the substantive law courses necessary to work as a Paralegal in today’s legal environment. Our graduates will have a solid and broad foundation of skills to work directly with a supervising attorney and remember, Kensington offers placement assistance to assist you in securing a position that is right for you.

Practical skills obtained in these key areas will provide a competitive edge for long-term success. This will also increase earning potential, and ensure that graduates will become highly valued members of the legal team in a law firm or other legal setting.

In 1991 Kensington College recognized the need for a legal-support program that combined substantive law and procedural law. Therefore, we authored the curriculum for this new major and created the name “Legal Administrative Assistant”. The name was later adopted by the legal community. Since then, we have maintained a commitment to provide the most complete training of unparalleled quality. We regard our leadership role as the trailblazer of the Legal Administrative Assistant curriculum to involve a responsibility that is of the utmost importance to both our students and the legal community.
