Admission to
Kensington College is conducted throughout the year. The following
criteria must be met to be accepted: a prospective student must possess a
high school diploma or its recognized equivalent, which would include a
General Education Development Certificate (GED), or transcripts from a
postsecondary school verifying completion of a program of at least two
years in length and for which credit may be applied toward a baccalaureate
degree.
The school will conduct a personal interview to evaluate the applicant’s
potential for on-the-job success. The school also requires an acceptable
score on the entrance exam—a two-part English test and a five-minute
keyboarding test. A computer proficiency test will be administered upon
admission.
Depending upon the score, a basic computer skills course may be required
before the student begins formal classroom training. The passing score for
admission, as determined by school administration, is as follows:
Legal Secretary Program: 50% passing score
Paralegal:
60% passing score
Legal
Administrative Assistant: 60% passing score
Admissions
Procedures:
Prospective students should contact the Administration office for
information regarding the school and to schedule a personal interview and
campus tour. During this interview, information will be exchanged between
the interviewer and the prospective student and with the school personnel
having special knowledge of subject areas (i.e. payment plans available,
graduate placement assistance, etc.) If the applicant applies for
admission, the entrance exam will be given. If a passing score is
achieved, the application will be evaluated for acceptance and the
applicant advised of the resultant decision. Students will be admitted to
the institution without regard to race, creed, color, ethnic background,
or native origin. |
